Sky-Watcher Deluxe Dielectric Zenith Mirror: 99%—Your Light Deserves It

Every mirror in the light path causes light loss; the question is how much. The dielectric coating on this Deluxe zenith mirror reflects 99% of the incident light, compared to approximately 90% for a standard mirror. You can see that difference in brightness and contrast, especially with faint deep-sky objects and subtle planetary details.

The dielectric layer is also hard and wear-resistant, allowing the mirror to maintain its performance for years. Good to know: a star diagonal shows the image right-side up but mirrored (left and right reversed). For viewing the starry sky, this does not matter; if you want to view landscapes or nature during the day, choose an erecting prism that fully corrects the image.
