On a wet night, the viewing window of your Telrad is often the first thing to get covered, and then you can no longer see the red rings clearly. The TG-DS from Telegizmos is a dew cap for your Telrad: a small cap around the viewing window that protects the glass from the cold sky, so that it stays clear for longer.
The cap is made for the slanted viewing window of the Telrad red dot finder, The part where you see the red rings.
It is useful in our climate, where dew often sets in early in the evening. If it does get on the window, let it dry slowly and do not wipe it dry with your sleeve, because that will leave streaks on the glass. You can find other solutions against dew at our umbrella covers for telescopes.
If you want even more certainty on cold nights, there is also rain heating for the Telrad.
