Omegon Super Plössl 4 mm Eyepiece (1.25 inch): wide-angle lens with 52-degree field of view
The Omegon Super Plössl 4 mm builds on the classic Plössl design with five lens elements: slightly more field of view, black lens edges and a more precise finish. This is the ideal choice for maximum magnification, for evenings with a stable atmosphere.
On a telescope with a 650 mm focal length, 4 mm gives a magnification of 163x, at 900 mm 225x. Keep the maximum aperture in millimeters at 2x; this keeps the Cassini separation and fine lunar details feasible rather than theoretical.
