Omegon Red Dot Finder for Camera Hot Shoe

Omegon Red Dot Finder for Camera Hot Shoe: aiming with a telephoto lens

Photographing without a telescope, with a telephoto lens on a tripod or tracker, presents a practical problem: you often can't see a nebula or galaxy at all through your camera's viewfinder. You slide this red dot finder into the hot shoe, and it immediately shows you where your camera is pointing.

Skip searching

Instead of taking test shots and adjusting, you aim and shoot in one go. With a telephoto lens with a narrow field of view, this saves a considerable amount of time, and on a cold night, that's exactly what you want to spend it on.

Execution

The metal housing with a 40 mm projection opening provides a spacious viewing window. The illumination works in red and green, allowing you to choose what best contrasts against the sky at that moment.
