Omegon Pro Veil OIII Filter 7nm 2 inch: Extracting oxygen nebulae from skyglow
The Pro Veil OIII 7nm filter blocks disturbing artificial light and only lets through the light from doubly ionized oxygen. This causes faint nebulae, such as the Veil Nebula, to stand out directly from the background.
Pro Veil is Omegon's narrow-band series for astrophotography. Each filter comes in a 2-inch aluminum mount with a sturdy protective case.

Dark background, bright nebula
Through selective transmission, the background darkens and nebula structures are displayed brighter. Fine details that normally disappear in light pollution are preserved.

In and near the city
The gain is greatest precisely in locations with a lot of ambient light. The filter suppresses the wavelengths of street lighting and natural skyglow, allowing only the oxygen lines to pass through.

Part of the SHO set
OIII, together with H-alpha and SII, forms the classic Hubble palette. All three are available in the same Pro Veil version with a 7 nm passband.
