Omegon Pro OIII CCD Filter 1.25 inch: 12 nm bandpass for nebulae and supernova remnants
The Omegon Pro OIII CCD filter is an interference filter with a bandpass of 12 nanometers, useful for both visual observation and astrophotography of planetary nebulae and supernova remnants.

Directed oxygen permeability
The filter allows only the narrow band around the emission lines of doubly ionized oxygen to pass and blocks the rest. This significantly increases the contrast between the nebula and the sky background, even in light-polluted locations.
Intended for larger openings
With a passband of 12 nanometers, relatively little light gets through. From an aperture of approximately 200 mm, the filter performs optimally. On smaller telescopes, it is usable at low magnification.
Featured accessories
Threads onto any 1.25-inch eyepiece and fits into 1.25-inch filter wheels. For a narrower bandpass and astrophotography work, the Pro OIII 7nm is the next step.
For whom yes and for whom no
- ✓ Owners of telescopes from approximately 200 mm
- ✓ Observers and photographers of planetary nebulae
- ✓ Those looking for a filter for both eye and camera
- ✗ Small telescopes: the image becomes too dark
- ✗ If you shoot exclusively and want maximum contrast: choose the 7 nm version
