Omegon Pro H-Beta Filter 1.25 inch: for the most difficult nebulae

The H-Beta filter focuses on one specific emission line: the hydrogen-beta spectrum around 486 nanometers. That makes it a distinct specialist filter.

Objects that would otherwise remain invisible

A limited number of nebulae strongly emit in H-beta and are barely visible visually without the right filter. Think of the Horsehead Nebula (IC 434) and the California Nebula (NGC 1499). With this filter, they become within reach.

Extremely selective

The filter blocks almost all other wavelengths, including light pollution, moonlight, and wide portions of the visible spectrum. This allows you to view a very dark image in which only the hydrogen light passes through. That requires a large aperture and a dark observing location.

Fits all common 1.25 inch eyepieces. For most deep-sky work, a UHC filter is more versatile; this filter is purchased specifically for a handful of objects.
