You don't clean optics with just any cloth. A paper tissue or a T-shirt contains fibers that are harder than the coating on your lens, and they cause fine scratches that you only see when the light hits them at a certain angle. Those scratches never go away.

Microfiber works differently. The fibers are extremely fine and absorb the dirt instead of pushing it across the glass. As a result, you clean without damaging the coating.

Compatibility
