Omegon Dew Shield 14 cm for Large Primary Mirrors: for large primary mirrors
A dew strap works differently than a dew shield. Instead of shielding the optics, it holds the glass edge a few degrees above the dew point. This prevents water vapor from condensing on it, even at high humidity.
Large Newtonians and Dobsons have a correspondingly large secondary mirror, which cools down and fogs up quickly in the open tube. This strip fits around the larger holder and consumes little power, so it can run next to a strip on the main opening.

Applying and adjusting
Wrap the strap around the eyepiece, lens, or tube. The flexible design conforms to the curve, and the hook-and-loop closure secures it in place. A controller allows for stepless power adjustment.
Featured accessories
All LED strips in this series operate at 12V and have an RCA connector. For stepless dimming, use a controller; without a controller, the strip always runs at full power.
