Omegon Basic 300 V Aluminum Tripod with Pan Head: support for heavy instruments
This large aluminum heavy-duty tripod is built to carry heavy instruments: large binoculars, spotting scopes, or a telescope. The included pan head allows you to adjust the instrument in height and direction.

Why a large tripod
An instrument that is too heavy for its tripod becomes unusable at higher magnification: the image shakes with every touch and fails to settle. A tripod with plenty of margin solves that, even if it means carrying more than strictly seems necessary.

Tilt head included
The tilt head is intended for instruments that you want to adjust in two directions. For nature observation and tracking objects on the horizon, this works better than a ball head because you lock each axis separately.

Aluminum as a compromise
Aluminum is lighter than steel and heavier than carbon. For a tripod of this size, that is a workable middle ground: sturdy enough for large instruments, and still portable.
Included
- Aluminum tripod stand
- Pan-and-tilt head
