Omegon Amici prism 90° 1.25 inch turns your telescope into a versatile instrument for both astronomy and nature observation in one fell swoop. Where a standard telescope projects the image upside down, this Amici prism corrects it completely: upright as well as left-right correct. So you can look at the moon in its natural orientation or use your telescope as powerful binoculars during the day.

The 90° viewing angle provides extra comfort, especially when tracking objects high in the sky. The high-quality optics are multicoated, which reduces reflections and increases light transmission. This keeps the image clear and contrasty, both during the day and at night.

The mechanical finish is solid and practical. With the ring clamp you clamp your eyepieces securely without scratching, and thanks to the integrated 1.25” filter thread you can easily use moon or color filters. The prism is compatible with all common refractors, Schmidt-Cassegrains and Maksutovs with a 1.25” focuser.

For astronomical use, it is ideal at low to medium magnifications, for example for the moon or star fields. At high magnifications, a thin diffraction line may be visible around bright stars - therefore, a classic star diagonal remains the better choice for planetary details.

Application

Perfect for terrestrial observation, birding and boating. Also useful for the moon, where a natural image is nice. For deep-sky or planetary observations at high magnifications, better use a standard diagonal.
