Those who power their telescope from a car battery or a power tank are rarely standing right next to the power source. This cable gives you seven meters of freedom, allowing the car to stay on the path while the telescope is positioned at the darkest spot in the field.

The plug measures 5.5 x 2.5 mm. That's the size Meade uses. Sky-Watcher and Celestron use 5.5 x 2.1 mm; this cable is not the right choice for them, even if the plug seems to fit. A 2.5 mm plug makes poor contact on a 2.1 mm pin, which leads to intermittent power.
