From <0.7 to <0.5 Angstroms
A single etalon transmits a band of about 0.7 Angstroms. That is narrow enough to see prominences and coarse structures, but the residual continuum light that leaks through reduces the contrast on the surface. The DSII double-stack module connect a second etalon in series and bring the bandwidth back to less than 0.5 Angstrom.

The effect is dramatic on precisely that which you see least well with a single system: filaments, active regions, and fine surface structure The prominences on the edge change less; they were already clearly visible.
In the back, not the front
Unlike external double-stack filters that you attach in front of the lens, the DSII inside the telescope. This means no extra weight on the front, no balance issues, and a reticle that is protected from dust and moisture. The module, just like the telescope itself, is adjusted via the Pressure-Tuner system.
Only suitable for the LS130MT. This module does not fit other Lunt telescopes.

Safety
Never look at the sun without the H-alpha etalon and blocking filter correctly installed. Use the instrument only as intended by Lunt and never disassemble it. Never leave a telescope pointed at the sun unattended.
