iOptron OIII 1,25″ Filters: OIII smalbandfilter van 7 nm
This narrowband filter transmits only the blue-green light of ionized oxygen, at 495.9 and 500.7 nm. Planetary nebulae, supernova remnants, and the oxygen-rich regions of emission nebulae glow brightly in it.
With a half-width of 7 nm, street lighting and moonlight are kept out of the image. Fine filaments and faint shells that are invisible in broadband become photographable this way, even from the city.

Second channel of each palette
OIII, together with H-alpha, forms the HOO palette, and with H-alpha and SII, the Hubble SHO palette. The 1.25-inch aluminum cell fits into standard filter wheels.
