Do you see dark bands of fabric or dark corners in your astro photos after stacking? You can solve this problem with flat frames, and the DayStar flat cap FC90 is designed for that purpose. Flats are shots of a uniformly illuminated surface, taken with the same camera, focus, and filters as your real shots. When editing, this removes dust, spots, and vignetting.
The cap comes for the opening of your telescope. Measure the outer diameter of your tube or dew cap and compare it with the specified size of this FC90. If this size does not fit, then compare with the flat cap in size FC100.
Do not change anything in the focus, camera angle or filters after your session before you take the flats. This way, dust and vignetting will be exactly where you want them in your shots. Therefore, set the focus properly at the beginning of the evening, for example with a Bahtinov mask from our Focus masks for focusing.
