After a night of shooting, you don’t want to spend hours removing dust shadows and dark edges. With the DayStar flat cap FC160, you can create flat frames: shots of a uniformly lit area through your own optics. Stacksoftware uses that to account for vignetting and the shadows of dust on your sensor and filters, which saves a lot of work in post-processing.
Flat caps come in different sizes. Measure the outer diameter of the front of your tube or snorkel and choose the cap that fits. Sizes are approximate. the flat cap FC154 and the flat cap FC170.
