If you use a reducer, not only does your field of view change, but the vignetting at the edges often also changes. The DayStar flat cap FC154 is designed to capture that. You attach it to the front of your telescope and take shots of an evenly lit flat surface. When stacking, your software calculates the light frames with you, so dark corners and dust shadows disappear.
Before ordering, check which size corresponds to the front of your tube or fog cap, so that the cap fits properly and no stray light enters from the edge. If you measure slightly differently, check the instructions for the cap. the flat cap FC160.
Switch between a setup with and without one of our reducers for astrophotography, Then create separate flats for each setup. Preferably do this immediately after your shoot, without changing the focus or the position of your camera.
