Explore Scientific 82° Ar 14 mm: wide apparent field of view for deep-sky and Moon
The Explore Scientific 82-degree Ar 14 mm is a waterproof wide-angle eyepiece filled with argon. The argon filling permanently keeps moisture, dust, and mold out of the optics: the eyepiece will not fog up from the inside and is even washable during cleaning.
With 14 mm you combine a moderate magnification with the full 82-degree field of view. Star clusters and brighter nebulae appear spacious and sharp within it.

82 degree field of view
The apparent field of view of 82 degrees gives the feeling of looking into space instead of through a tube. Furthermore, on a Dobsonian without a tracking motor, objects remain in view longer before you need to make adjustments.

EMD coating
The patented EMD (Enhanced Multilayer Deposition) coating increases light transmission and suppresses reflections and ghosting, leading to a high-contrast image right to the edge, along with blackened lens edges.

Built for years of outdoor use
The all-metal housing is argon-filled and sealed. The flip-up eyecup allows for eyeglass wearers, and the connection size has filter threading for color and haze filters.
Featured accessories
Combine this eyepiece with a moon filter or a planetary observation filter set and an eyepiece case for safe transport. The filters from the Explore Scientific filter sets fit directly into the 1.25-inch thread.
