Dust cap for every 2 inch opening of a focus lens or accessory | Starlight

A focal lens, diagonal or other 2-inch accessory that is open in your case will quickly collect dust and sand. This dust cap for every 2-inch opening from Starlight Instruments seals off such an opening while you are not using it.

You place the cap on the exit of a focuser, on a 2 inch diagonal or other 2 inch accessories. Handy if the original cap is lost or if you store multiple parts separately, for example in one of our bags for accessories.

Only put the cap back on when the optics have returned to room temperature and are dry after a cold night. Otherwise, you’ll end up trapping condensation, which is exactly what you want to avoid. Also, make sure there’s no dust on the lens before you close it.
