With a large Schmidt-Cassegrain, the corrector plate is located right at the front, and on a humid evening it is the first to come on. A dew band around your 10-inch telescope keeps the glass just above the dew point, so you don’t have to stop halfway through your session. This heating band from Astrozap is designed for telescopes of 9 and 10 inches.
A 9.25 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain is also available in this size, like the 9.25 inch NexStar Evolution. You put the tire around the tube at the front lens. Be sure to measure the outer diameter of your tube at that point; that way you know that the tire will fit properly.
The band gets power via a dew controller, which allows you to control how much heat it emits. Combine it with one of the rain caps for your telescope: which shields the optics from the cold sky, allowing the band to do less work.
For an 11 inch tube there is a separate 280 mm wide belt.
