A large corrector plate cools quickly and often starts to fog on humid evenings first. With long photo sessions, merk you only notice it when the images are already blurry. This Astrozap dewband for an 11-inch telescope keeps the corrector plate free from fog.
The band is intended for an opening of 11 inches, as the Celestron C11 Schmidt-Cassegrain or a 11-inch EdgeHD. You place it around the tube just behind the corrector plate and connect it to a dew regulator.
Combine the band with a dew cap and ensure a feeding that lasts all night, such as a power tank of 17Ah. Make sure the connections fit. Start low on the regulator, because too much heat creates air turbulence before the opening.
