On clear, windless nights, the front glass of your telescope cools quickly, and then moisture accumulates. This Astrozap dewband for a 6-inch telescope, about 150 mm, helps to counter that.
You place it around the tube just behind the front glass. That works with a 6 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, refractor of Maksutov type the Skymax-150 PRO. Through a dew regulator, the tire releases just enough heat to counteract dew without actually heating your optics.
Use the band together with a dew cap; this way the regulator doesn’t have to work as hard and you save your battery. Set the regulator low and only turn it on when the glass starts to fog up.
For the current, for example: a 7Ah power tank use; make sure the connection fits your controller.
