Celestron Omni eyepiece 40mm 1.25 inches

Celestron Omni 40 mm: the lowest magnification for overview and searching

The Celestron Omni 40 mm is a classic Plossl eyepiece with four fully multi-coated lens elements. The lens edges are black to reduce internal reflections, resulting in a contrast-rich image with natural colors.

The 40 mm provides the lowest magnification within the Omni series and thus the brightest image. Convenient as a viewfinder and for large, faint objects under a dark sky.

Features

• Forty-degree Plössl design with fully multi-coated optics
• Blackened lens edges for maximum contrast
• Aluminum housing with matte anodized finish to prevent stray light
• Foldable rubber eyecup, also usable with glasses
• Threads for 1.25-inch (31.75 mm) filters

Compatibility

Fits any 1.25 inch (31.75 mm) focal length or zenith mirror and works with any telescope type: refractor, reflector and catadioptric. The magnification you achieve is the focal length of your telescope divided by 40 mm.
