Celestron Luminos eyepiece 31mm 2 inch

Celestron Luminos 31 mm: the maximum overview eyepiece

The Celestron Luminos 31 mm is a wide-angle ocular with a apparent field of view of 82 degrees. All lens surfaces are fully multi-coated and the lens edges are black, which ensures a clear and contrast-rich image right up to the edge.

The 31 mm is the overview ocular of the Luminos series: the lowest magnification with the largest actual field of view. With this you can search for objects and enjoy complete star fields.

Field of view of 82 degrees

An apparent field of view of 82 degrees is more than one and a half times larger than that of a standard Plossl eyepiece. You see more sky at the same magnification, and objects drift out of view less quickly, which is pleasant on mounts without a tracking motor.

Comfortable perception

The rotatable twist-up eyecup can be steplessly adjusted to the correct interpupillary distance, with or without glasses. The rubber grip ensures that the eyepiece can be easily handled even with gloves.

Solid construction

The housing is made of aluminum with a matte black finish to prevent stray light. The connection size is equipped with filter threads, so you can screw a moon filter or nebula filter directly under the eyepiece.

Featured accessories

Combine this eyepiece with a moon filter for comfortable moon viewing and a carrying case to safely transport your eyepieces. A Barlow lens doubles the magnification without the need to purchase an extra focal length.

For whom yes and for whom no

• ✓ Viewers who want the wide 82-degree field of view without the price of premium topmerken models
• ✓ Dobson owners: objects stay in view longer without adjustment
• For those seeking the lightest and most compact eyepiece possible: the Luminos series is robustly built.
• Very fast telescopes (below f/5) are outperformed by more expensive designs at the extreme edge of the image.
