A bird in a puddle or a deer at the edge of the forest are not quite sharp enough to see with a pair of binoculars. The Bushnell Prime spotting scope has a zoom eyepiece of 20 to 60 times and a lens of 65 mm, so you can still see those details.
The eyepiece is angled on the tube. It looks nice when you observe for a long time or look up, and people of different heights can look through the same viewer without having to adjust the tripod. Set it on a sturdy tripod, for example The Bushnell Titanium tripod, and check that the connection fits.
Always look at your subject at 20 times and zoom in only then. At the highest magnification, the image becomes darker and you see the air trembling above warm ground. That is normal, and often a setting around 30 to 40 times gives the best image.
If you want more light at high magnification, then the Forge spotting scope with 80 mm a larger lens. You can see all the models side by side in our spotting scopes.
