Omegon Fork Mount Pro Neptune Push+ Go Fork Mount For Large: Fork Mount with Digital Finder
The same Pro Neptune fork, but with encoders on both axes and a Bluetooth module. Connect an Android device to SkySafari and the app shows live where the viewer is pointing. You push the viewer by hand towards the object, and the arrows in the app bring you exactly into view.
No motors, no power cables to the mounting: the encoders operate on a small battery and the movement remains manual and smooth. For those looking for faint objects with a large binoculars, this saves a lot of searching time.
How Push+ Go works
After aligning on two bright stars, the mount knows its position. In SkySafari, select an object; the app shows arrows and the distance in degrees. Push the viewfinder until both zero points are reached. It works with SkySafari Plus and Pro on Android; iOS is not supported.
The assembly
Aluminum fork on Teflon bearings in both axes, load capacity 9 kg with a dead weight of 4.25 kg. The altitude axis ranges from 30 degrees below the horizon to 90 degrees straight up, with locking screws and graduations on both axes.
The viewer clamps with a 150 x 55 mm sandwich dovetail and a 1/4 inch screw. At the bottom is a 3/8 inch tripod connection. All Brightsky models, the Argus 25x100 and the Nightstar 100 mm fit on it.
Tripod
Not supplied with a tripod; a 3/8 inch adapter and a minimum load capacity of 15 kg are required. The Omegon Pro Carbon 40 mm is the appropriate base.
