De Omegon Brightsky ED-APO 26×82 met 90 graden inkijk is een grote astronomische verrekijker met verwisselbare 1,25 inch oculairs, magnesium behuizing en stikstofvulling. Deze uitvoering komt in de bijpassende harde koffer, zodat je hem direct veilig meeneemt.
De 82 mm versie is de keuze voor wie weet dat dit zijn hoofdinstrument wordt. Het verschil met 70 mm zie je aan zwakkere objecten, het verschil met 100 mm voel je vooral in gewicht en prijs.
82 mm en 26x: de middenmaat met extra diepte
De sprong van 70 naar 82 mm levert 37 procent meer lichtopbrengst. Dat merk je aan de zwakkere sterrenhopen en aan de structuur in heldere nevels zoals M42. Met 26x vergroting blijft de uittredepupil op 3,2 mm, zodat het beeld ook uit een tuin met straatverlichting contrastrijk blijft.
Het beeldveld van 2,5 graden is nog breed genoeg voor de meeste open sterrenhopen. Op 1000 meter afstand overzie je 40 meter, voldoende om een groep vogels of een schip in zijn geheel te volgen.
90-degree viewing angle for the zenith
With a 90-degree viewing angle, you look into the eyepieces from above, just like with a refractor with a star diagonal. Objects directly overhead, where the sky is darkest and most transparent, can be viewed without straining your neck. That is why most astronomical users choose this variant.
For observations low on the horizon, the 90-degree position is less convenient: you then stand bent forward. For predominantly daytime observation, the 45-degree version makes more sense.
ED-APO objectieven zonder kleurzweem
De ED-APO uitvoering gebruikt objectieven met ED-glas. Kleurfouten die in een gewone achromaat als paarse randen rond heldere sterren, de maanrand en contrastrijke dagobjecten verschijnen, blijven hier vrijwel weg. Sterren zijn kleine witte punten tot aan de rand van het veld.
Het verschil met de standaard Brightsky zie je het duidelijkst bij de maan, bij Jupiter en Saturnus, en overdag bij takken tegen een heldere lucht. Voor zwakke nevels is de winst kleiner: daar telt vooral de opening.
Interchangeable eyepieces and filter thread
By default, two 18 mm flatfield eyepieces with a 65-degree apparent field of view are included. They are 1.25 inches, so you can replace them with any pair of eyepieces from your telescope case. For example, two 10 mm eyepieces provide a higher magnification for the moon and planets.
Both eyepiece holders have 1.25-inch filter threads. A pair of UHC filters enhances the contrast of nebulae from a light-polluted environment. Each tube has its own focusing mechanism, allowing you to precisely adjust the viewer to your eyes.
Mounting a tripod
De 26×82 weegt 4,6 kg. Dat vraagt om een vorkmontering met een draagvermogen van minimaal 6 kg en een statief dat niet meeveert. De Omegon Pro Neptune vorkmontering met het 40 mm carbonstatief is de combinatie die wij hiervoor leveren en zelf gebruiken.
Een fotostatief met videokop lijkt goedkoper, maar bij 26x zie je elk trillinkje en elke doorzakking van de kop. Plan de montering als onderdeel van het instrument.

This version comes in the matching Omegon hard case with custom foam inlay. Two locks, a sturdy handle, and an impact-resistant exterior protect the optics in the car and in the attic. Purchased separately, the case costs considerably more than the price difference compared to the bare telescope.
