Omegon Altazimuth Mount with Fine Adjustment: a tracking star quickly centered
This mount secures a guide scope to your main telescope and then allows you to aim it precisely. With the fine adjustment in altitude and azimuth, you can center a guide star in seconds.

Why focusing is necessary
A guidescope needs a suitable star in its field of view to be able to guide. If it is rigidly mounted in the exact same direction as the main telescope, a usable star is not always present. With fine adjustment, you can find one.

Quick change
You mount it with a 1/4-inch thread onto the piggyback bracket of your telescope. On top, you slide in a GP, Vixen, or EQ-5 dovetail bar, allowing you to swap guide scopes without tools.

Stability determines the guiding
Any movement between the guide scope and main telescope is misinterpreted by the guiding system. A rigid, backlash-free mounting is therefore not a luxury, but a prerequisite for usable guiding.
