William Optics 400mm Losmandy Swan Series

William Optics 400mm Losmandy Swan Series: the wide base for your heavy tube

This William Optics dovetail from the Swan series is a 400 mm (15.7 inch) Losmandy-style bar in gold-colored aluminum. The wide Losmandy profile is the standard for heavier tubes: more clamping surface and more rigidity than a Vixen bar, so no flexing under a large apo with a complete imaging train.

The 400 mm length provides ample range for balancing: slide the tube into the clamp until the center of gravity is correct, even if you add a camera or guidescope later.

Features

• Losmandy profile: wide clamping surface, high rigidity
• 400 mm (15.7 inch) length for ample balancing range
• CNC-machined aluminum, gold-colored finish
• Mounting holes for pipe rings and accessories

Compatibility

Fits any Losmandy-style (D-profile) saddle clamp. For lighter setups with a Vixen clamp, the 290 mm Vixen dovetail is the suitable alternative.
