iOptron Adapter iAFS2 / Maksutov 150: telescope adapter for the iAFS2

With this aluminum adapter, you can mount the iOptron iAFS2 automatic focus on Maksutovs 150 and similar models with M58x0.75. The adapter forms the fixed, backlash-free transition between the telescope and the focus. The connection on the telescope side is M58x0.75.

A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.

Light, stiff and ready to mount

Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
