iOptron Adapter iAFS2 / Celestron C11: telescope adapter for the iAFS2

With this aluminum adapter, you can mount the iOptron iAFS2 automatic focus system on a Celestron C11 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The adapter forms the fixed, backlash-free transition between the telescope and the focus system. The connection on the telescope side is M83.5×1.5.

A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.

Light, stiff and ready to mount

Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
