iOptron iPolar Electronic Polar Finder for CGEM, NEQ6 and AZ-EQ6

Never crawl under the polar finder again
With the iPolar, you no longer have to crawl uncomfortably under your telescope. You see everything directly on your laptop or PC. So you align your mount quickly and precisely. The built-in camera shows where the northern celestial pole is and where the polar axis of your mount is pointing.

Easy and accurate alignment
Turn the azimuthal and parallactic set screws and align the two points perfectly. Even if your mount is roughly set, the large field of view and sensitive camera ensure precise alignment. The electronics calculate the exact pole position based on date and time.

Works anywhere in the world
Whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere, the iPolar takes into account the position of the celestial pole. At low latitudes, the system automatically adjusts atmospheric refraction.

Apple compatible and easy to use
Using macOS? Download the dedicated app from the Mac App Store and use the iPolar camera directly. For iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad, the “iOptron iPolar Mobile” app works in conjunction with the iMate Astronomy Control Box. Please note that some apps are paid and additional accessories are sometimes required.

Practical details
The USB port is on the back of this model for easy connection. Please note that the iPolar is only compatible with specific iOptron mounts: CGEM, NEQ6 and AZ-EQ6. During alignment, the virtual pole on your screen may move slightly. This is normal and does not affect accuracy.
