With the iPolar line, you can project an iOptron CEM26 and GEM28 into the celestial pole via your laptop screen. The built-in camera shows the actual pole position and the direction of the axis; with the azimuth and elevation screws, you align both points together.

The software automatically calculates the exact pole position based on date and time. Looking through a small optical pole finder is no longer necessary, and alignment is also successful even if Polaris is not clearly visible.

Accurate at every location

The sensitive sensor with a wide field of view finds the correct orientation even after a rough alignment. The iPolar works in both the northern and southern hemispheres and remains usable at low latitudes. Precise polar alignment extends the usable exposure time without guiding.

The connection to the computer is via USB 2.0.

Assembly

This version fits into the pole shaft of the CEM26 and GEM28 and replaces the optical AccuAlign pole finder. The USB connection is located on the rear, so the cable runs free of moving parts.
