Bresser Polarizing Filter 2 inch: brightness under control
The Bresser 2-inch polarizing filter is a single polarizing filter in an aluminum mount. The filter is primarily intended for solar observation with a Herschel wedge: the light from a Herschel wedge is already polarized, and by rotating this filter in the eyepiece, you can continuously adjust the brightness to a comfortable level.
In addition, the filter is useful as a fixed dimming for a bright moon. Note the difference: moonlight is not polarized, so with the moon, the filter dims a fixed percentage, and rotating it does nothing. Adjustable dimming for the moon can only be achieved by stacking two polarizing filters.

Features
- Single polarization layer in an aluminum mount
- Steplessly adjustable brightness in combination with a Herschel wedge
- Vast damping with moon observations
- Fits the filter thread of 2-inch eyepieces and accessories
Compatibility
Screws into any standard 2-inch filter thread. Never use the filter as the sole means of solar protection: only observe the Sun with a Herschel wedge on a refractor or with an objective solar filter, and follow the manual for those products.
