Bresser MCX127 Raincap: longer viewing time on wet nights

The Bresser dew cap for the MCX-127 GoTo telescope protects the corrector plate of your Maksutov from getting dirty. On wet nights, the glass inside the tube cools down quickly and freezes; this cap significantly slows down that process, so your session doesn’t end prematurely with a blurry image.

Additionally, the cap acts as a stray light shield. Light from streetlights or the moon that falls at an angle is blocked, which immediately results in more contrast. And during the day, the cap protects the glass from dust, scratches, and fingerprints. You screw the cap onto the internal thread at the front of the tube; once tightened, it is securely attached.
