The Bresser First Light 102/1000 is the most complete classic entry-level set: a four-inch lens with a long focal length, two eyepieces with a 3x Barlow lens, and an erecting prism that turns the image right-side up for daytime nature observation. The smartphone holder captures your first moon photo immediately.

Classic f/9.8 achromat

The 102 mm lens captures about 212 times more light than the naked eye. With the eyepieces, you view at 40x and 100x, with the 3x Barlow theoretically higher; consider approximately 204x as a useful maximum. At f/9.8, chromatic aberration remains well controlled: calm, true-to-life images of the Moon and planets.

EQ-3 mount and nature use

After alignment, the equatorial mount tracks with a single rotational movement. The amici prism erects the image and makes it non-reversed: this makes the set a fully-fledged nature viewer during the day as well.
