Omegon 0.5x Reducer for Photography: a faster field of view for small budgets
This simple reducer screws into the filter thread of a 1.25-inch accessory and reduces the effective focal length to approximately half. The field of view becomes wider and the exposure times shorter, which is particularly helpful for slow telescopes such as Maksutovs and Schmidt-Cassegrains.
The exact factor depends on the distance to the sensor: further away means stronger reduction. It is also visually useful for a wider view at long focal lengths.

Features
- Reduction factor approximately 0.5x, depending on sensor distance
- Screws into 1.25 inch filter thread (M28.5 x 0.75)
- Twin lens system, glued and coated
- Free opening 22.5 mm
- Also visually useful with eyepieces
Compatibility
Suitable for refractors, Maksutovs, and Schmidt-Cassegrains from f/8, on 1.25-inch accessories with filter threads. For critical astrophotography with larger sensors, the model-specific Pro Reducers are the better route.
