Omegon Flip Mirror 1.25 inch: Observe and photograph without conversion
In planetary photography, finding the object is often harder than photographing it: the small sensor of a planet camera shows only a fraction of the field of view. A flip mirror solves that. With the mirror up, you look through the eyepiece and center the object; flip the mirror away, and the light falls directly onto the camera.
This is how you switch between searching and recording in a second, without rebuilding the eyepiece and camera and without losing the object.


Two exits, one light path
The eyepiece output on top accepts 1.25-inch eyepieces, the straight passage ends in a T2 thread for the camera. Both can be positioned so that the eyepiece and camera are parfocal: in focus in the eyepiece is also in focus on the sensor.
Built-in helical focuser
The built-in helical focuser fine-tunes the eyepiece side, allowing you to precisely set the parfocal point and then never having to search again.
