ZWO EFW 7x36mm II filter wheel: seven 36 mm filters for large monochrome sensors
The EFW 7x36mm II is the filter wheel for monoculars with larger sensors, such as the ASI294MM and the ASI2600MM series. Seven positions for unmounted 36 mm filters cover LRGB plus the full narrowband trio, without vignetting, even at fast focal lengths.
The filters are located just 10 mm from the sensor, ensuring that even the corners of an APS-C image remain free of shadows. The precise NPM stepping motor (Japan) operates quietly and repeats accurately.

Made for APS-C mono
For 4/3 and APS-C format sensors, 1.25 inch filters produce shadow edges; 36 mm is the correct size. With seven positions, you can complete LRGB and SHO projects without ever touching a filter.
With a 20 mm thickness and 650 grams, the wheel remains compact enough for mobile setups.

Supplied complete
Power and control are via USB, fully integrated with ASI cameras, ASIAIR and recording software. Included: USB cable, M42 screw thread adapter, filter masks, mounting tools and screws.
The filter masks prevent internal reflections in unfiltered filters: a detail that you can see in the star profiles.
Featured accessories
- ZWO LRGB filter set 36 mm loose filters: four positions filled
- ZWO H-Alpha SII OIII filter set 36 mm single filters: the Hubble palette included
- ZWO ASIAIR Plus: fully automatic channel switching in the recording plan
For whom yes, for whom no
Hello monofotographers with 4/3 or APS-C sensors who want to run the full seven-channel palette.
Not full-frame users; for that, the 2-inch wheels are the right size.
