More light, more depth: the 114mm Newtonian on an equatorial mount!

The Bresser Galaxia 114/900 is a classic Newtonian reflector on an equatorial mount. The 114mm mirror collects about 265 times more light than the naked eye. This allows you to see not only the Moon and planets but also bright deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula and globular cluster M13.

Included accessories for the Bresser Galaxia 114/900

f/7.9: suitable for detail

The relatively long focal length of 900 mm makes this Newtonian telescope strong for viewing the Moon and planets. Cloud bands on Jupiter and Saturn's rings are clearly visible. The maximum useful magnification is around 228x.

Learning to track with the EQ-Sky mount

After aligning on Polaris, you track objects with a single slow-motion control. The included objective solar filter also allows for safe solar observation. Only use a solar filter if it is undamaged and never look at the sun without certified protection.

Featured accessories

The Bresser Plössl 10 mm eyepiece (90x, 29 euros) is the first meaningful expansion. A Bresser laser collimator (74.90 euros) keeps the mirrors aligned. An Omegon Premium moon filter (19.90 euros) dims the moonlight. For transport, the Armor transport bag for Newtonians up to 130/900 (89 euros).

For whom yes, for whom no

Suitable for: Beginners who want more light-gathering power than a small refractor offers and want to learn to track. Not suitable for: Those looking for a maintenance-free telescope; a Newtonian requires occasional collimation. Compare with Dobsonians via the Buying guide or view the reflector page. Meer Bresser is on the merk page.
