Omegon T2 Adapter for Canon EOS Lenses: Your Camera Lenses as a Wide-Angle Telescope
This is the reverse route of the usual T2 ring: not the camera on the telescope, but a photographic lens on the astro camera. A fast 135mm or 200mm lens is an excellent optic for sprawling nebulae and the Milky Way, and with this adapter, it attaches to your cooled camera.
The adapter accepts Canon EF and EF-S lenses via the bayonet mount and offers T2 threading on the camera side.










Why a camera lens for deep-sky
Large objects like the North American Nebula or the Andromeda Galaxy do not fit in the field of view of most telescopes. A lens with a focal length of 100 to 300 mm will capture them completely, with the sensor quality of your astro camera behind it.
Custom distance
The adapter places the lens at the correct distance from the sensor, allowing the lens to focus to infinity. Check the back focus of your camera setup: filters and filter wheels between the adapter and the sensor shift the focus point.
Manual operation
The connection is mechanical. Focusing and aperture are controlled on the lens itself; lenses without an aperture ring operate at their widest aperture.
