TS Optics HR Planetary Eyepiece: Contrast When Planetary Detail Calls For It
The TS Optics HR Planetary Eyepiece is built for one purpose: maximum contrast and sharpness on the moon, planets, and double stars. Multi-coated lens elements and internal baffling suppress reflections, so subtle detail on a planetary disk doesn't get lost in stray light.
The series runs from 2.5mm to 25mm focal length, all in a 1.25 inch size. This allows you to choose the exact magnification that suits your telescope and the air quality.

What focal length do you choose
Divide the focal length of your telescope by that of the eyepiece for magnification. Keep 2x the aperture in millimeters as an upper limit: for a 150 mm telescope, 300x is the realistic maximum. Short focal lengths (2.5 to 5 mm) are for large apertures and steady air; 7 to 9 mm is the daily planetary magnification for most telescopes.
Comfortable at high magnification
The eye relief remains comfortable even with the short focal lengths, so you don't have to look with your eyelashes against the lens. The 1.25 inch mount has filter threads for color and moon filters.
Featured accessories
Combine the eyepiece with a color filter set for planetary detail or a moon filter for comfortable moon viewing. An eyepiece pouch keeps the set together dust-free.
