With the Moon, planets and double stars you need high magnifications, and good collimation is the difference between a sharp and a blurred image. With Bob’s Knobs for the GSO Cassegrain 8 inch you adjust the secondary mirror while looking at a star, without having to use any tools.
The buttons replace the adjustment screws of the secondary mirror of the GSO 8 inch classic Cassegrain. This telescope has a long focal length. What you can see with it on the red planet, you can read in Mars through a telescope.
Replace the screws one by one so that the mirror stays fixed, and when adjusting, always turn a little at a time. If it is cloudy, you can practice with a Artificial star as training point.
For the smaller 6 inch there is a set for the GSO 6 inch.
