A Newton with a coma corrector or a telescope with a large-sensor camera often shows some vignetting at the edges. With the DayStar flat cap FC180, you can create flat frames to correct that: shots of a uniformly lit surface through your own optics, which stack software eliminates vignetting and the shadows of dust.
If you use one of our Comcorrectors for Newtons, When making flat roofs, it should simply be placed in the correct position. Measure the outer diameter of the front of your tube or gutter and choose the appropriate cover; a well-fitting cover keeps stray light out.
If you are using your flat lenses directly after your light frames, with the same focus, camera setting and filter. If the size doesn't quite fit, then check the the flat cap FC190.
