Anyone who wants to see more detail in the sky and in the landscape than with a 10×50, but doesn’t want a wide-angle binoculars, will find satisfaction in the slimmed-down 12×50 model. The Bushnell Legend 12×50 is a roof-top binoculars with a 12x magnification and lenses of 50 mm.
The optics are fully multi-coated (FMC): all glass-air surfaces have multiple layers of antireflection, which reduces reflections and improves contrast. With a exit pupil of 4.2 mm, the image remains clear in the twilight. It is ideal for our binoculars for stars and nature.
You can see star clusters, the moon and the moons of Jupiter. Watch them for a few nights in a row and you’ll see the moons change position. You can read more about that in Read our article about Jupiter. With a 12x magnification, leaning against something sturdy or placing the viewer on a tripod helps.
Would you prefer a more relaxed image with a slightly smaller magnification? Then check out the Legend 10×50 in black.
