Dragging your Dobson in and out of the house is tiring, and a telescope that is outside already has the outside temperature, so you don't have to wait long for the mirror to cool down. With the Telegizmos T3-2D, you can leave an 8 or 10-inch Dobson outside. The case is part of the 365 series, designed for year-round use.
Think of an 8 inch like the Skyliner-200P FlexTube Enhanced Standard. The length of the tube varies per model, so always measure your own telescope.
Measure your Dobson in the position where you will place it, and compare the height and width with the dimensions of the cover. Attach the fabric cover to the tube before covering it. Check the collimation occasionally after a period outside; our guide on collimating explains how that works.
If you have a 10 inch one, then there are adjustment screws for a 10 inch Newton to collimate by hand; just make sure they fit your model.
