Omegon Binoculars 2×54 for Observing Constellations + 2 Pro UHC Filters M56: star-gazing telescope with night vision filters
This is no ordinary binocular. The 2×54 magnifies only two times, but shows a 36-degree field of view that fits complete constellations, with hundreds more stars than the naked eye. The Milky Way becomes a structured band, the Hyades and Pleiades appear together in the frame.
This set includes two Omegon Pro UHC filters M56 that screw directly onto the lenses. They only let through the emission lines of hydrogen and oxygen: the sky becomes darker, the Northern Hemisphere, the Californian hemisphere, and the Cygnus region become visible without magnification.

Galilean optics
Two 54 mm objectives and a Galilean design without prisms: this results in an upright image and a huge field of view. Focusing is done per eyepiece, with diopter correction from minus 5 to plus 3.5. Metal housing, 500 grams, splash-proof.

What the UHC filters do
Without a filter, under a rural sky the Milky Way appears as a faint band. With the filters, the stars recede slightly and the red hydrogen regions appear as gray spots. From a suburban area, the filter makes the difference between seeing nothing and seeing something. Buying two M56 filters separately costs more than the price difference with the naked eye.

Use
Handheld, lying in a garden chair, or on a tripod via the mount. Also a nice tool for aiming a telescope: you see the constellations as on the map, with more stars.

For whom yes and for whom no
- ✓ Emission clouds with the naked eye, also from a suburb
- ✓ Anyone considering the bare 2×54 and not living in a dark area
- ✗ City center: even with the filter, the profit remains small
- ✗ For those who want to learn constellations in particular: the bare version is enough
