Omegon Argus Binoculars 25x100: Giant binoculars with Argus optics
The Argus 25×100 brings the edge sharpness and waterproof magnesium construction of the Argus line to a 100 mm aperture. Two 100 mm objectives gather as much light as a sizable telescope, and at 25x you look through a 4 mm exit pupil: bright enough for an average suburb.
This is a tripod-mounted instrument, preferably on a fork mount. Those who do not need the interchangeable eyepieces of the Brightsky, but do want 100 mm, will find the sharpest fixed 25x100 in our assortment here.

What 100 mm shows
M13 and M92 resolve into stars at the edges, M31 hints at dust lanes under dark skies, and the Veil Nebula becomes visible with UHC filters. The 2.6-degree field of view just fits the Pleiades and is spacious for most Messier objects.
The luminosity of 16 and the twilight factor of 50 translate into an image that remains calm and clear, even during long sessions.

Optics and construction
BaK-4 prisms, fully multi-coated, individual eyepiece focusing. Magnesium housing, waterproof and nitrogen-filled. Fold-down eyecups and a tripod adapter are included; the interpupillary distance ranges from 56 to 70 mm.

Mount
A 25×100 cannot be made stable at 25x on a standard photo tripod head. The Omegon fork mount for large binoculars (up to 12 kg) is the entry-level version, while the Pro Neptune with carbon tripod is the deluxe version. Both allow you to view the zenith while sitting.
