The Bresser Polaris 102/460 EQ3 combines a substantial 102 mm lens with a short tube. Star fields, the Milky Way, and the Moon easily fit into the field of view, and during the day, its short focal length also makes it a great travel scope for nature observation.
Fast achromatic lens for overview
The 102 mm lens captures about 212 times more light than the naked eye and shows a very wide field of view at low magnification. Honest advice: f/4.5 comes with color fringing on bright objects; this is a wide-field and travel telescope, not a high-magnification planet specialist.
EQ-3 mounting with slow motion
After alignment with the North Star, you track objects with a single rotational movement. For quick daytime viewing, you simply use the mount as a pan-and-tilt head.
