iOptron Adapter iAFS3 / GSO Newton 3″: telescope adapter for the iAFS3
With this aluminum adapter, you can mount the iOptron iAFS3 automatic focus system on GSO 10″ and 12″ Newton telescopes with a 3″ focus connection. The adapter forms the fixed, backlash-free transition between the telescope and the focus system.
A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.
Light, stiff and ready to mount
Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
